Common Name
Type Locality Probably the Nanpan-jiang, upper Pearl River basin, China [China, possibly near Kunming, Yunnan].
Synonym(s) Euchiloglanis sinensis
Etymology The generic name Tremeuchiloglanis is made from a combination of the Greek prefix Trem- (opening) and Euchiloglanis, a generic name used for a group of Glyptosterninae, alluding to a larger gill opening, as well as distinguishing it from Euchiloglanis(=Chimarrichthys), Creteuchiloglanis and Pareuchiloglanis. Gender: feminine.
