Scientific Name Xyliphius sofiae  Sabaj Pérez, Carvalho & Reis, 2017
Common Name
Type Locality Río Amazonas, main channel in vicinity of Iquitos, Maynas, Loreto, Peru, 03°42'21"S, 073°12'14"W.
Etymology From the Greek xyliphion, meaning a piece of wood; in reference to the overall appearance. sofiae after the Sofia Sabaj Perez, daughter of Mark Sabaj Perez.

Identification This albino specimen was imported into Germany. It appears to be a species of Xyliphius although determinining what species is not possible from this image alone.
