Scientific Name Zaireichthys dorae  (Poll, 1967)
Common Name Chobe Sand Catlet
Type Locality Rapids of Luachimo River, in a small pool of residual water drying downstream from dam, Angola.
Synonym(s) Leptoglanis dorae
Pronunciation za eer ICK thiss
Etymology Zaireichthys: From the Zaire river and the Greek ichthys, meaning fish; in reference to the type of the genus and its collection locality.

Size 27mm or 1.1" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification The majority of species are small and compact, have a defense mechanism of three ossified spines in the dorsal and pectoral fins,being able to lock them into place which makes the genus different from all other Amphiliidae.

Known only from a single specimen, only 6 rays in the anal fin,caudal fin weakly indented. Irregular spots on a beige background creates a semi-marbled look. faint transverse bands on the pectoral and caudal fins.
