Scientific Name Chilodus gracilis    Isbrücker & Nijssen, 1988
Common Name
Type Locality Right bank tributary to Rio Uaupés at Trovão, about 20 kilometers upstream of mouth of Rio Uaupés, Amazonas State, Brazil.
Etymology Chilodus: Greek, cheilos = lip + Greek, odous = teeth
