Scientific Name Chrysichthys turkana    Hardman, 2008
Common Name
Type Locality 2 miles northeast of Ferguson spit, Lake Turkana, Kenya, depth 30 metes.
Pronunciation cry sick thiss
Etymology Chrysichthys: From the Greek chrysos, meaning golden and ichthys, meaning fish; in reference to the golden-yellow color (of the type species, C. auratus). Named after the lake it lives in.
