Type Locality "Cayenne" [erroneous, should be Indo-West Pacific].

Distribution Indo-West Pacific: coasts of India and Sri Lanka eastwards extending to Queensland, Australia and New Guinea and north to Viet Nam. Found in the lower Mekong basin.
