Scientific Name	**Pseudexostoma brachysoma** Chu, 1979
Common Name
Type Locality	Hill stream running into the Nu River, near Laowo, Yunlong Xian, [now Lushi County, Nujiang Prefecture], Yunnan Province, China.
Synonym(s)	Pseudexostoma yunnanensis brachysoma
Species Information
Size	153mm or 6" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification	Continuous post-labial groove, gill openings not extending onto venter, heterodont dentition (different types of teeth) in both jaws. The outer teeth are shovel-shaped and sparsely arranged in one or two rows whilst the inner teeth are conical and numerous. The tooth patches are separated in the upper jaw. 16–18 branched pectoral rays.
